A 25 PERCENT pay rise between 1994 and 1996 for Bradford University's vice chancellor has been condemned by Bradford AUT members. A ballot of AUT members at the university found 73 per cent "strongly disapproved" of vice chancellor David Johns's pay rise, while a further 20 per cent "disapproved". A motion at AUT national council this week from Bradford AUT attacks the pay rises given to many v-cs and calls for open, nationally determined criteria for v-c pay.
