Business-related content is to be increased in all music degrees offered by the University of Hertfordshire from the next academic year. The decision follows the success of the Music Industry and Entertainment Management degree launched by the university two years ago. From October 2008, all music students will need to produce business plans for their careers as well as participate in lectures and seminars. Head of music Tim Blinko said that students needed the skills and contacts to secure fulfilling graduate jobs.
