Developing the skills of potential health service chief executives is the focus of a new partnership between the University of Leeds and the National Health Service. The university is providing a new leadership programme for NHS directors whose careers could reach chief executive level within a five-year period. The aim of the programme is to offer candidates whose careers have been confined to the NHS exposure to other sectors with different work cultures.
