A British institution has moved to strengthen its presence in China with two new strategic partnerships. The University of Nottingham, which already has a campus at Ningbo in Zhejiang Province, has signed a memorandum of understanding with one of the country's largest carmakers, Chang'An, to develop research and training links. It has also signed a deal with Sichuan University, one of China's oldest higher education institutions, to collaborate on postgraduate education in biomaterials and geomechanics, as well as to develop a joint doctoral-training centre.
