University of Sunderland - Work those neurons

April 1, 2010

A scheme that offers learners access to a "gym for the mind" has won an award. The University of Sunderland's Explore programme is a lifelong-learning scheme that follows the model of gym membership. The scheme was awarded the 2010 Lifelong Learning Award by the Universities Association for Lifelong Learning, beating 16 other contenders to the prize.
