Weapons inspectors revisit Baghdad University
UN weapons inspectors returned to Baghdad's University of Technology yesterday to visit two sites, while other teams went to the colleges of science at the University of Baghdad. The US-based Iraqi-American Academics Together for Peace is to hold a series of conferences at the University of Baghdad later this week.

Palestinian universities face closure
The Israeli Defence Force has refused to reveal which Palestinian universities have been closed, or will be closed in the future. A spokesman said only: "We know for a fact that Palestinians used these for terror infrastructure, weaponry using, firing from there, distributing materials against Israel, posters, announcements."

Azerbaijani accountants choose Pasiley consultants
Paisley University has won a £1.1 million contract to introduce international accounting standards to Azerbaijan. Alan Godfrey, dean of the business school, said it was a major achievement for an educational establishment to win such a large contract, underlining the high standards of consultancy that Paisley offered.
