UWE to lead carnival

The University of the West of England will be the lead sponsor of this year's St Paul's Carnival, the Southwest's answer to London's Notting Hill Carnival. Alfred Morris, vice-chancellor of UWE, said the university was committed to Bristol's inner-city communities and to promoting racial equality and widening access. The carnival will be held in Bristol on July 3.
