Police were called to intervene in a protest at Swansea University this week when students demonstrating over plans to close a natural sciences library entered the vice-chancellor's offices.
More than 100 students entered the offices of Richard Davies to hand in a 1,300-signature petition objecting to proposals to move the natural sciences's collection to the university's main library. They say capacity and facilities will be lost in the move. The university said it was moving the natural sciences' collection to the library a few hundred yards away.
