A remote Russian technical institute wants to be renamed after the Queen Mother. Staff and students at the Alexei Yevstigneyev college in the Urals Sverdlovsk region, named for a local hero who died during the battle of Stalingrad, expressed sympathy for the Queen Mother's death to the British consulate.
