The University of Armageddon's search for a new vice-chancellor has turned up an interesting real-life dilemma. For a confidential memo posted on the university's website from a real university reveals that two eminent scholars have applied for the position on a job-share basis.
The proposal has wide-ranging implications, not least for the vice-chancellor's lodge. Advice is being sought over equal opportunities legislation regarding joint tenantship. But the director of finance is said to be over the moon at the prospects of two candidates bringing in double the research income.
