An Australian academic whose sacking early last year for claiming that he had been ordered to raise the marks of two students resulted in an international boycott of the University of Wollongong has settled the dispute - 18 months after he was dismissed.
Legal and disciplinary procedures against microbiologist Ted Steele have been halted. He is believed to have left the university with all his entitlements paid.
