Contrary to the sentiments expressed by Jonathan Baldwin in his own little rant (Letters, February 23), I think Gary Day's students should think themselves very lucky indeed. A knowledgeable, provocative and funny lecturer who cares passionately about literature - what more could they ask for?
Finding Day writing in the opinion section of The Times Higher is for me a pleasure rivalled only by the appearance of Ted Odgers in the University of Poppleton column.
More of both please!
