However, not everything at the CVCP is on a downward spiral. The evidence to Dearing runs to 70 pages and costs Pounds 25 for four volumes. By contrast, Roberts held up the CVCP evidence to Robbins in 1961. For this momentous turning point in British higher education, the vice chancellors needed only 11 pages to make their point. Mind you, there were fewer of them in those days.
