I am not quite sure what upset me more - reading about the closure of Anglia Ruskin University's languages department, a move that will reduce still further our national capacity in a key subject area ("Loss for languages", May 26), or the fact that this item was relegated to page 4 of The Times Higher and given just two and a half column centimetres.
