One institution is allegedly about to have its foundation degree "branded a failure" by the Quality Assurance Agency ("Audit critic is lone UK failure", January 13) and - by some curious insight available only to you - the "flagship" foundation degree is about to hit the rocks.
Odd this, for an award that is judged as "generally successful" by the QAA.
However, those who are on board the flagship know that your rocking of the boat is to be welcomed. A boat that cannot be rocked is not seaworthy - and this one is.
