Gary Day (Columnist, October 14) professes to find plagiarism an innocent and indeed commendable activity. "Instead of penalising students for the crime, we should congratulate them for laying bare the logic of the world in which we live." Presumably, he would have no objection were I to republish his article under my own name. Others of us would regard it as a form of theft.
