A man with vision Sir Stewart Sutherland, Edinburgh University's principal, given the task of outlining his vision for Scottish higher education at this week's Scottish Credit Accumulation and Transfer conference in Edinburgh, wistfully remembered the vision presented 30 years ago by Clark Kerr, president of the University of California: "Sex for the undergraduates, football for the alums, and parking for the faculty."
