There is a world of difference between a nicely produced race equality policy and being truly engaged in promoting diversity within a university.
A policy on race equality may be described as exemplary, but it is meaningless unless it is translated into practical steps that tackle racism within the institution.
I would hope that universities could put as much effort into proactively working to address racism on the ground as they do to producingJglossy brochures. In that way, we may make some headway in eradicating the curse of racism.
