Ruskin College, an adult residential college in Oxford founded in 1899, is opposed to one of Anglia Polytechnic University's proposed new names - Anglia Ruskin University ("Anglia revives name game", January 28).
The college has formal partnerships with the local authorities in Suffolk and Essex, so the name "Ruskin" already has a profile there.
