You report that full-time undergraduate numbers were down at University College Northampton in 2004 by 16.9 per cent to 1,988 ("Middlesex tops growth league", February 4). Our admissions figures show that 2,652 full-time undergraduate students enrolled in 2004, along with 262 full-time postgraduates.
Admittedly, while our full-time undergraduate numbers for 2004 dropped by some 10 per cent on the previous year, we have worked hard to respond to these changes. I am delighted to report that undergraduate interest has now soared and we are receiving significantly greater numbers of applications.
