Nice to see the Christmas message of peace and goodwill has not yet taken over: this week's young people's lecture from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow was an illustrated talk on the pathology of murder.
Marie Cassidy of Glasgow University's department of forensic medicine and science gave a guide to identifying injuries and patterns of injuries, taking "Who Killed Santa Claus?" as her key theme. The jolly old fellow was found lifeless in the snow, but had he died of hypothermia, a sedentary lifestyle combined with over- indulgence in alcohol and mince pies, or been attacked by the reindeer?
