(Photograph) - Spruce Bruce: the National Galleries of Scotland have produced a CD-ROM which stars a lifesize reconstruction of Robert the Bruce, who defeated the English at Bannockburn in 1314.
Iain MacLeod of Edinburgh Dental Hospital made a wax cast from a cast of the king's skull, which Brian Hill of Newcastle Dental Hospital used to make a terracotta head. Peter Vanezis of Glasgow University's centre for human identification produced a computerised image involving 20,000 coordinates.
