Why do I find the idea of publicly funded posts in astrology ("Medieval minister wants Indian students to be taught vedic astrology", THES , May 4) odd when we have publicly funded posts in Christian theology, where (as with the regius chairs of divinity) existential commitment is sometimes a prerequisite? Different strokes for different folks?
