You rightly commend British higher education institutions for the employability of their students ("UK degrees top tickets to jobs market", THES , April 6). Given that their data exclude diplomates completing programmes in nursing, midwifery and health visiting (where employment rates are close to 100 per cent) and graduates completing teacher training (where market demand is also pushing employment rates towards the maximum), the overall position may be even stronger than the statistics imply.
