John Kaag is not up to speed with meetings culture (“Short is sweet”, Opinion, 12 September). It is not rude to have your laptop or tablet open during a meeting: in the era of the paperless office, this is where all the vital documents needed will be stored. You can refer to them while at the same time amusing yourself and the rest of the world by tweeting the inane comments made during the course of the meeting.
