A model of Cern's Large Electron Positron Collider has gone on show as part of a major new exhibition at Glasgow University. At Cern's Geneva base, electrons are accelerated around the km-long tunnel and collided in a bid to produce conditions similar to those fractions of a second after the Big Bang. The Glasgow display, which runs until June 30, shows what goes on within the collider.
