A MYSTERY benefactor has donated Pounds 2.5 million towards the University of Ulster's "peaceline" campus in west Belfast.
The university has refused to reveal the donor, believed to be an individual from abroad, possibly the United States or Australia.
The Pounds 2.5 million would pay for half of the Community Outreach centre on the Springvale site, which is in the final stages of a bid for funds from the Millenium Commission. The university hopes the donation could also be used as a magnet to attract more grants and funds for the troubled project.
