Today is #EducationDay on Twitter – a celebration of all the good that’s going on in the world of education, both in the UK and further afield. And we’re right behind it!

We’ve got loads going on. For a start, if you’re a student or a parent with questions about going to university, then our student editor Carly Minsky will be answering them from her university advice Twitter account at 4pm. Send your questions to her now (you can send an email if you’re not on Twitter).

If you’re more interested in our World University Rankings, then rankings editor Phil Baty will be answering your queries at 3pm. Again, you can tweet your questions to him now.

Our sister publication, TES, is also getting involved. Check them out on Twitter for more information, but this education technology Q & A with Lord Jim Knight will no doubt be of interest to anyone with an interest in that sort of thing.

There’s already plenty of university #EducationDay activity to get your teeth into. In fact, Francois Therin sums things up quite nicely:

The Open University is offering followers a virtual tour of its Walton Hall campus. Did you know that the OU has a library (and a decommissioned church that’s now used for staff meetings)?

It's not the only institution using #EducationDay to offer students a look a campus tour. There are two more in Milan alone...

IE Business School in Madrid, meanwhile, has been taking a trip down memory lane (we’ve got more on Bill Gates on our website today, by the way):

And the University of Oxford is getting involved with the odd inspirational quote:
