The Government has appointed Ted Wragg, professor of education at Exeter and a vociferous critic of its education policy, to the board of the all-encompassing qualifications super-quango, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Also joining chief executive Nick Tate and chairman Sir William Stubbs are Dearing committee member Sir George Quigley and Robin Alexander, professor of education at Warwick.
