After months of searching for a new headquarters, the Quality Assurance Agency for higher education may soon be in search of a new name. Its title has been challenged by another QAA, Quality Assurance Associates, a national network of education inspectors and consultants. The QAA for higher education is understood to be taking legal advice on whether it needs to adjust its name. Given its present accommodation problems, might we suggest it call itself the Standing Quality Assurance Team, or SQUAT.
