BRITAIN's biological scientists have gained a new voice with the creation of the UK Life Sciences Committee (UKLSC). The committee, formed by 12 societies representing 30,000 scientists working in molecular, cellular and physiological life sciences, will coordinate initiatives in science policy, funding and education.
The committee's on-line directory of life scientists and a database of meetings worldwide, is at: http://www. lifesci.org.
