Guide aims to boost Scots women scientists

THE Scottish Higher Education Funding Council has launched a series of guidebooks to give better support to women in science, engineering and technology. John Sizer, SHEFC's chief executive, said women's participation in Scotland decreased from just under a third of science students to 30 per cent of researchers, 14 per cent of lecturers and 4 per cent of professors.
