Medical merger

A Pounds 52 MILLION medical research and teaching centre is to be created by University College London under a private finance deal. The Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research will house the merged University College London and Royal Free Medical Schools. As well as the private sector, the scheme is backed by the Wolfson Foundation, the Higher Education Funding Council for England and the Wellcome Trust.
