THIS week's NHS white paper abolishing the internal market in the health service and proposing a reduction in the number of health authorities and trusts has been welcomed by medical educators.
Michael Corin, health policy advisor at the Committee of Vice Chancellors and Principals, said the number of health authorities with which medical schools have to deal will be reduced. Mr Corin said competition between trusts harmed planning.
