ONE in five British Asians will develop diabetes, heart or kidney disease before the age of 40, Leicester University researchers have warned. The incidence of the diseases is much greater among Asians than other ethnic groups, said Andrew Burden, an honorary senior lecturer at the university. "The rate among Asians in Britain is giving great cause for concern," he said.
