Thelma Holt has been appointed the ninth holder of the visiting theatre professorship and fellow of St Catherine's College. Miss Holt is a producer, founder of the Open Space Theatre, former actress, head of touring and commercial exploitation at the National Theatre, member of the Arts Council and of the Rada council.

University of Stirling Paul Westhead, former senior research fellow in the centre for small and medium-sized enterprises at Warwick Business School, has been appointed to the chair in entrepreneurship.
