Birmingham University is among the first partners in a Pounds 17.5 million IBM scheme designed to give up to 10,000 students in 150 universities and colleges worldwide essential skills for the widely used DB2 Universal Database. Participating institutions in the Scholars Programme will receive copies of the database for research and teaching together with service and support. Students who complete relevant coursework will receive full certification.
