The Medical Research Council has published its new procedures for dealing with allegations of scientific misconduct. Though the council says allegations of scientific misconduct, including fabrication, falsification, plagiarism or deception in proposing, carrying out or reporting results of research, are rare, it stresses that it is vital its research be conducted with integrity.
