Allegations of nepotism and bullying against Anglia Polytechnic business school head Hugh Jenkins have no foundation, the board of governors' audit and compliance committee has ruled. John Watts, head of the management and development division, had formally raised concerns about the position of Professor Jenkins' s son, Jonathan, who is a lecturer in the division.
This week, the APU committee said: "During the last two years a number of allegations have been made by one member of the university. Each allegation was investigated. In no case was evidence found to support these allegations. The audit and compliance committee has conducted an independent review of the matter, which confirms management's earlier findings and recommendations." Mr Watts said: "This matter is not closed. The findings are inconsistent with the evidence."
