British Aerospace is planning to link up with thousands of its suppliers to help deliver the government's New Deal training and employment scheme for jobless 18- to 24-year-olds. The aerospace firm is concerned that many of its 20,000 suppliers will not be able to offer the statutory one day a week training stipulated by the government. The solution, says BAe, is that BAe supply the training.
