A flight mechanics simulator used for teaching and research at City University has won one of the Millennium Products Awards announced last week. The simulator, which combines simulator technology with personal computers, gives students of aircraft design hands-on experience of an aircraft in flight and the effects of design changes on its handling. The simulator is used by students on City's aeronautical and air transport engineering course.
