A Pounds 100,000 research project will assess the skills employers seek in students and the curriculum changes that instil them.
The two-year study will be run by Middlesex University Business School, Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education, Lancaster University, Nene College, Roehampton Institute, London, University College London, University of Manchester and University of Plymouth.
At this stage, it will focus on assessing skills needed by geography students to satisfy potential employers.
