Peter King, assistant principal and director of external relations at St Andrews University, has been suspended pending a disciplinary hearing next month.
Mr King, who moved to the fundraising post last year from Balliol College, Oxford, said he was suspended without warning shortly after he signalled his intention to make a complaint against university principal Struther Arnott and secretary David Corner. He said he would fully rebut the charges against him, but would not make these public at this stage. The university has said it does not release details of any suspension until proceedings are complete, but added that it had not received a detailed grievance.
