A meeting of minds that makes the Irish and Middle East peace processes look straightforward took place at Tel Aviv University, where Tony Blair answered questions on both subjects from an audience of schoolchildren in April. The Tel Aviv newsletter on the meetings adds that the distinguished gathering also included Dame Shirley Porter, now slightly less big in Westminster than Blair, and her husband Sir Leslie, chancellor of the university. Doubtless many handy tips on election tactics were exchanged.
