The Chinese Academy of Science. The Indian National Science Academy

Robert Cahn, professor in the department of materials science and metallurgy at the University of Cambridge, has been elected a foreign member of the Chinese Academy and a foreign fellow of the Indian National Science Academy.

American Philosophical Society

David Hawkins, professor of ancient Anatolian Languages at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, has been elected a member of the society.
