UNIVERSITIES and colleges have been invited to bid for shares of Pounds 300,000 earmarked for improving graduate employability. Education minister Baroness Blackstone announced funding for a further eight to ten Discipline Network Programme projects designed to bring academics and employers together to discuss how best to develop the skills graduates will need in the workplace. The closing date for bids is July 31. The new projects should start in October.
