Alumnus to be proud of No 181 is outback driller Stephen Hindley, praised in the public prints this week for using a rusty brace and bit to save an Australian Rules football player from death, drilling a hole in his skull to relieve pressure on the brain. Dr Hindley has just arrived in the outback from Cornwall. We do not know where he did his woodwork, but his BSc, MB and BCh come from the University of Wales medical school.
