Housing experts at Dundee and St Andrews universities have won a Pounds 1 million contract for research that will throw light on pressing housing issues. The three-year CORE contract (Continuous Recording of Rents Data for Registered Social Landlords) from the Housing Corporation of England goes to the Joint Centre for Scottish Housing Research. To allow the local government and other bodies to plan housing investment and development, researchers will collect data on general needs housing, supported housing, and housing for low-cost home ownership.
