UFI role mooted for UCAS

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service may play a role in the new University for Industry. "We are talking about whether we might act as some kind of clearing-house for the UFI," said chief executive Tony Higgins. But Josh Hillman, research fellow at the Institute of Public Policy Research, said: "The UFI is about attracting registrations and admissions in the millions rather than thousands. I would imagine that this would be a fundamental change for UCAS."
