Alumnus to be Proud Of this week, No 182 in the series, is Conservative Party deputy chairman, MP and former Asda boss Archie Norman. He became famous for 15 minutes this week by proposing some very un-Tory measures - office closures, mass redundancies, that kind of thing - for the party's own staff.
He attended the University of Minnesota and Emmanuel College, Cambridge, where he took a degree in economics. Imagine our shock on learning that he also has an MBA from Harvard and (like William Hague) once worked for consultants McKinsey & Co.
